BF2042 dirextx function error after Windows update

Same, I somehow i got it to run but i have to disconnect my monitor, delete game's settings folder, reinstall graphics driver, restart my pc and numerous other things each time(which i dont know which of them helps)  i want to open the game, and they sometimes don't work eighter. I sometimes don't get an error but the game just doesn't start just a black window appears.
