The game doesn't even launch anymore. If i click to open the game, it starts to launch it normally but in less than 5 seconds it just closes itself before it can even launch correctly. No error messages or anything. The usual steps have been taken care of: verifying gamefiles, re-installing the game, drivers have been checked etc. so the problem is not on my end. Also every other game I have have no issues. After the server issues on season 1 launch day I could play normally, but after the weekend I have been unable to even open the game...

Uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game (installed to different drive). Repaired the anti-cheat. Compatibility modes... went back one version on NV drivers from the latest..... tried removing Asus software... Tried a clean boot as well... same result. @EA_LeeuwSo my story is I haven't played this game in months. My PC was updated fully to W11 22H2 before I updated BF. I updated BF sometime after its latest patch, a week or two ago and it never worked.My troubleshooting was mostly done prior to yesterday and KB5014770 update 6/14. The update did not change anything. @EA_Leeuw I just add sites to the TREND MICRO exception list and unblocked BF2042. Best regards...

I installed another Windows 11 update today and the game works again.... so happy. Seems like Microsoft fixed the issue.

Ive had this problem also my game just stays in the loading screen doesn’t even say error im confused its been happening every since friday.

Hey @BrHo1958,

Application Error 0xc0000005 (Access Violation) error is usually caused by your computer not being able to correctly process the files and settings required to run a particular program or installation. Despite the error showing when you try and use particular pieces of software, it has many different causes including faulty RAM problems, errors with the files of your PC and issues with the settings of your PC.

Have you tried launching the game with Administrator rights?

@EA_Leeuw (someone?) Any help for me? Should I start my own thread? I don't want to hijack the OP, but, it's the same issue. (See post 3 for details)
No matter what I do, the game doesn't even start. Click on PLAY in steam, saying launching, running, then cuts off in a matter of a second. Every other game works fine. This is not a RAM issue (for me), no errors in the files of my PC or settings (stock). I've tried launching with admin rights as you see the exhaustive list I've tried above.
I just saw a 'clear steam cache' and disable one drive... that didn't work either.
Please advise ASAP.

EDIT: Worth noting, Windows Event shows the 0x000005 error too for Origin (not a popup like the image above me). It will launch and close (when starting through steam). If I get Origin up and then launch through steam, the same thing. Note, deleted and reinstalled Origin too.

@BrHo1958, @DiscoStu420, do you maybe know if Windows 11 has recently installed any Windows updates before you started to nice this issue?

You can see this in the Windows update history.

@EA_Leeuw Yes today 15 06 2022 for W11 sys x64 : update (KB5014697) and also Windows Security platform - KB5007651 (version 1.0.2109.27002)... but in fact it s my antivirus TREND MICRO that cause problem...
