    Fixed the issue on my end by right clicking on the game in the Steam library, going to Properties, the Controller tab, and selecting "Disable Steam Input" on the drop down settings.  Hope it works for you guys too, good luck!

@EA_Barry Also having this issue, even with no controller plugged in and only mouse and keyboard, my character can only look straight down. Inverting the aiming controls in the settings makes me only able to look straight up.
