DirectX function "m_swapChain->ResizeBuffers" error and random crashes

Hello.

I've bought this game and i cant even get to enjoy it, when it works its the best game i have played but i keep getting random crashes, sometimes on start, sometimes 5 minutes in to the game, sometimes 4 hours into a session.

Every time i started the game it ended up with a crash.

I get dx errors such as these:
DirectX Error on BF2042 : r/Battlefield

I checked on the dump files, i attached a screenshot.

Its almost as if there's a whole community getting these errors, and no one is doing anything to help.

I tried reinstalling, updating bios, closing apps and other overlays, lowering the graphics, i don't have any overclock, Ran chkdsk, ran SFC.

It seems to happen with many dice games.

    @seyonixx

    Disable all overlays and other software then you can re-enable them one-by-one to determine what is causing the issue, thanks.

  • I just started getting this out of nowhere on 2042, running through Steam.
    Deleting the 'settings' folder within the Battlefield 2042 folder in the Documents folder of my PC made it start working again.

    Hope this helps someone else.
