DirectX Possible Fix - Underclocking

I have seen many people with the dreaded dx crashes.  I play with people that have this issue.  I had this issue in BF3, BF4 and BF1 over 2 different Nvidia cards.  Until I made a change that stopped it ever since.

I underclocked my cards.  This occurred to me on the 770 Ti, as well as the 1080 Ti.  Both of the cards were slightly overclocked from the manufacturer.  I used MSI to underclock them and the issue almost never occurred again.  For more detail, I simply looked at a stock version of the card model I had, and set my card to the same memory and core clock speeds.

I'm not saying this is going to be the fix for everyone, and certainly not a permanent resolution.  But if it helps a few people out there, awesome.  I know it took me digging through threads, years ago, when I had the same problem.  I couldn't believe it that it worked.

Unfortunately, GPU manufacturers sell their product based on the 'numbers on the box', RAM amount, core count, RAM speed etc.

This leads to a race where factory overclocking can be overdone leading to instability in some situations or games.

Downclocking to stock clock speeds can dramatically improve in-game stability.

    Thanks for posting.
