So my problem is since I got a new PC with all new parts except one SSD, no games using EA Anticheat will run. No errors, no nothing. Just splash screen then it returns me to the origin app. I've tried everything short of completely deleting everything and freshly installing windows. (I have tried to upgrade to windows 11 with no luck).
Anyone who had this problem? How did you solve it? I swear I've tried every single thing I've found on the internet so far.
This worked for 5 minutes, but after that nothing.
Someone in the discord suggested that id have memoryheap in my system causing this, but I find it so hard to believe since literally every other game works just fine with no problems. I havent been able to play 2042 since last august when this problem began, really frustrating tbh

Well, back to the drawing board. I am again bounced out to the EA App when launching even if both caches are purged. Tried reinstalling everything, run as admin for EA app, BF2042, uninstall and reinstalls all Visual C++, and nothing. Very frustrating.
Soo, round 5 with this. After the above reply to myself I ran it in Windows 8 compatibility and it worked! Now let's see for how long.
Did u run the game or the anticheat in compability?
Game, but it's now back to the same issue. I am honestly unsure wtf is causing the issue at this point.
So after fighting this problem for weeks, I modified my registry for the Windows Security Service and that was not a wise choice but I knew I had a good clean restore point. Well, that unwise idea led to me being unable to login so I performed a fresh OS install and reloaded all of my data and now BF2042 works EVERY TIME!!!! I think at some point there was an update which upset Windows Security Service Filter Manager and it corrupted the file. Knocking on wood this doesn't happen again.
