Exposure map crash after latest game update
Hello, after the latest game update I cannot play anymore on Exposure map (no matter the game mode) because it's constantly crashing with the same error at loading screen. Even solo/coop and Portal don't work.
Error:
---------------------------
DirectX Error
---------------------------
DirectX function "m_d3d12PipelineLibrary1->LoadPipeline(HashStrDx12(key), &desc, FB_IID_PPV_ARGS(&pipelineState))" failed with E_FAIL ("Unspecified error."). GPU: "AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT", Driver: 25.8.1 (25.10.25.01-250724a-417878C-AMD-Software-Adrenalin-Edition). My spec:
- 5800x latest chipset - stock performance
- 9070xt Driver 25.8.1 - stock performance
- Windows 10 Latest Update
- Game is installed on nvme
What I've already tried (and still it's not fixed):
- Clean Reinstall of Radeon Driver 25.8.1 with default settings
- Delete shader cache within Radeon Software
- Change in game settings & restoring defaults
- Verify Integrity of game files
Fixed by manually deleting BF2042 shared cache located at:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\BattlefieldGameData.kin-release.Win32\cache
To my understanding it happens when updating AMD drivers, they will reject old cached pipelines from old drivers.
Also Radeon Software cannot delete BF2042 shader cache because it's not located in the default cache directory (C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\AMD\DxCache)
