i've tested the ethernet speed vs the wifi speed. my ethernet is getting 20 megabits per second and my wifi is getting 340 megabits per second. newer routers are more geared towards wifi then ethernet now since more devices use wifi nowadays. imo

The ethernet cable ya use , what cat. version is it , and how long is this cable ? Any splitters / connectors or extra hubs in this cable line ?
The networkcard installed in your pc what are the connection specs ?
What type of connection do ya get from your ISP ?
PS tried the USER.CFG for workload at cpu, Your cpu still needs hard to work to run bf2042 !
Also your MEM Hz is important, if ya got mem run at standard Hz , it could bottleneck in combo with cpu ,your game play
