I have redownloaded BF2042 over 5 times. I have done all the hot fixes and side fixes people have posted. I have recently gotten a new router and new modem. I have updated my hardware before the launch of this game to play this game. Through it all I still have tons of lag across almost all servers unless its one of the small portal maps but still i have a little bit of lag. I have tried everything for this ultimate edition to no avail. I did not buy this game to just play with bots. I have made multiple request and heard nothing back from ea. I have friends that play with no lag that have less hardware specs then i do and a couple that have better then i do. I do not. But its like a stuttering effect. driving in vehicles is the worse its almost like a flip book. on foot its disappearance of people and reappearance a few feet later. when i run or walk as soon as i stop my body my body glides another 6 feet.

have some kind of this issue too its like my game is constantly ruberbanding most of the i recognize while im driving latv or how its called. but i dont get these symbols on the right or left side of the screenwhile im driving in outside cam mode i just pulling me slightly back and when you are on foot sometimes changing the weapons doesnt work like when you have to change to c5 after throwing a emp grenade it just dont register the key ive been pushing ... maybe this game isnt amd friendly at all have a 5800x with an 1070 ti from gigabyte..

I upgraded my pc before the game was in beta. Bought it months before it went to beta to play with friends and just can't play Multiplayer. I've done all the fixes and replaced modem and router, checked internet speeds and connection. And still getting tons of lag on servers. Only time i don't get lag is if im by myself playing with bots and that definitely not why i bought this game to do.

128 player is incredibly CPU dependant and requires a strong CPU to push it along. I had the same issue with a 4790k (slightly faster than a AMD Ryzen 7 2700X) which was also overclocked. Upgraded to a 12700k and it's now super smooth, ~120fps with a gtx 1080 ocThe difference is even notable when I overclock the new CPU to 5.2ghz, 128 player really chews your CPU up ☹️

Can we activate network perfromance graph and record on the issue will giv us information in order to investigate on what is going on.

Can you check two things plz
1) open CMD as administrator
2) type BCDEDIT /set useplatformclock false

This will disable the HPET of your windows
Reboot afterwards and check if it helps the performance of the game
3) to check network you can do this simpel test too:

ping a server or other website via the CMD command as in the example below...
ping websitename -t
Check if there are any ping spikes occur or even errors appear

Since the last update I get aim lag/rubberbanding in some cases.
And if I minimize the game to close a browser I left open, it is nearly constant and more pronounced.
I think my Ryzen 2700x is struggling a bit but I used to not have the problem. Intersting that you have a 2700x as well.

Tried the cmd fix and didn't improve it. Made sure the graph was always showing so its at the top. No errors on the ping as well.

Lag got worst with todays update. Now hard again to play 64 players. I'll send another video later.

I have the exact same issue. I run the game, my FPS doesn't at all dip, my CPU usage is around 80%. It stutters all the time, and if i enable the graphs, they go wildly up and down when these spikes are happening (but no symbols on the left of the screen). It happens literally every game

Is it normal that in pervoverlay.drawfps cpu count is lower than gpu count with an 5800x and a 1070 ti while playing the cpu count drops sometimes below 60 and most of the time between around 90 gpu is slightly higher around a count of 5

My game is currently unplayable. I get upwards 5200 clock based on the upper left clock. Ive reported this is Technical Issues, Bugs and here.
