    I refunded the game so I am no longer having this issue. Good luck to everyone.

Just an info for the devs. I think this situation occurs when deleting/changing the entries in the CONTROLLER column with the mouse. Then it seems the settings are corrupted in cache and the game "thinks" the MOUSE column is the CONTROLLER column and thus when you try to delete entries in the MOUSE column it will suddenly show you the XBOX controller button icon instead of ESC to delete entries.
