Happens when you keep updating things and dont do a proper job to make sure everything works with one another.
oh god i was thinking that i am doing something wrong. yeah this cfg file is probably not working anymore.
i have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU and 2070 laptop. i get constant 100% usage of CPU while my GPU is somewhat resting. and because of that i can only play blody team deathmatch without getting super high TN and literally being useless. i am getting super angry because of this lags. i do know that everything should be working norrmally on my laptop at least on lowerst settings, but no matter what i chose is settings or what cfg file i make the issue still persists.
is there any thing i can do to resolve this issue or if i got it then it a dead game for me??

So months later I return and the problem persists. Unbelievable. I've had this issue since season 3. I have to say this comes down to complete incompetence. At some point along the chain, there is someone not fulfilling their obligation either intentionally or because of incompetence. The issue has affected many players for months and remains unresolved.
If we had a famous YouTuber with this issue, it would be resolved the very next day. - superbutterpt2 years agoRising Rookie
look at this. My 5900x running at 100% while just sitting in the game lobby. My FPS is capped at 100 and no matter what settings i choose its always running at 100%.
- Rokebo732 years agoSeasoned Ace@superbutterpt Did ya try a cleanboot ?
Make sure no other software/apps are booting sametime with windows.
reboot pc by a clean boot:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd
Hide all Microsoft services, DISABLE (uncheck) ALL other processes, apps and services !
Cleanboot is just a one time clean boot ! Next reboot all will be reset and a normal boot will be occure.
Use msconfig to disable apps permanent each for new reboot.
- In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
- On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
- On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
- Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
- Close Task Manager.
- On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.
Now test game and update us. - Rokebo732 years agoSeasoned Ace
For people who need more performance and a better latency could use this !
Read the instruction first:
This is only for Windows 10 (for Now)
https://atlasos.net/downloads
PS read instruction, it will install a kind of light/stripped windows 10
Check for drivers also at the Atlas website how to download and install. Should not have to download a 3rd party program just to play a AAA game because of there bad coding. If the devs / publisher really gave a * about the community they would be on this form 24/7 looking at peoples issues and getting a sense on what's game breaking or just people doing something wrong them self.
Having the same issue here.
CPU : i7 13700k
GPU : RTX 3090
RAM : 32 GB
CPU usage was 20~30% before the last update.
after the update cpu usage sikes to 70-74% .

Guys, this worked for me. Weeks after Iām finally able to play without this heavy keyboard input lag caused by the 100% cpu usage.
- Download from the YouTube video the User.cfg.text or create one
- rename it User.cfg (I used winrar)
- edit with notepad
- for my 9700k I set it like that, only 6 tread in stead of 8 so you should put I number lower than the threads your have physicality to prevent the game using 100% of the cpu :
Thread.ProcessorCount 8
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 6
Thread.MinProcessorCount 0save the files where BF2042 is installed
Hope this help
also having issues. I even threw out my old keyboard and got a new one because I thought the keyboard was going out.
i5 7600k OCed to 4.5
gtx3070ti Asus OC
32 GB ram
I didnt have any issues with my old Strix GTX960 other than low fps. Now with upgrading RAM and GPU the game is unplayable. While my computer was down for the rebuild season 4 was released, so idk if its because of the new update or something else.
I see where my exact setup benchmarks with 80+ FPS on ultra, I am getting around 30-40. EA sucks.
