Game crashes WiFi turned off

Last few days like everyone else portal empty or errors and can't open a game. However...even worse is when I can open a game, after 20-30s the game crashes, no conection to EA servers and my wifi is turned off. Can't restart my Pc (W11) or shutdown so have to press the Pc case reset button to reboot. B4 not affected.

Can't get any help from EA...the chatbot help(sic) says...not an EA problem....ASUS support were great, but nothing worked..even updating the MB BIOS, which was easier than thought it would be.

I'm now playing BF2024 with a Bostrend AX1800 usb wifi adapter, which is 25% the speed of my ASUS ROG STRIX MTK WiFi7 :-(
so this must be a wifi driver issue or recent W11 update issue?

I don't think it's a driver issue, considering it only happens with BTF 2042. In other forums for other games I don't see anyone mentioning this problem. It really must be some problem with the anti-cheat software, which receives regular updates.

My motherboard is a MSI PRO B850-P WIFI 7 and the Wifi controller is the Qualcomm FastConnect 7800.

i have been having the exact same problem, game use to work fine for months on pc, i think it was an anticheat update a few weeks ago when it started, i have been playing battlefield 6 with no issues and a host of other games.

  • Same issue. The anticheat makes the WIFI unable to see or connect to any network.

If I exit the game after it happens, the WIFI will be able to see/connect again. If I leave the game open for a while after the disconnect, I need to do a full reboot to get internet again.

    I have a TP-Link Archer TBE550E WIFI 7 PCI-E adapter, which uses MediaTek drivers.

I just bought the game and cannot even play it! It just turns off my Wi-Fi after 1 to 2 minutes of playing and I would have to toggle on and off my Wi-Fi.

    Things I have tried:
Reinstalling drivers, BF 2042, Anti-cheat, EA Launcher

Repairing BF 2042, Anti-cheat, EA Launcher
Allowing BF 2042, Anti-cheat, EA Launcher through firewall
    Updated all drivers

    Set DNS to IPv4/IPv6

    Hardware:

    • Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7
    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X
    • GPU: Gigabyte GAMING OC Radeon RX 9070 XT
    • RAM: Kingston FURY Beast 32 GB DDR5-6000 CL30

  • Same here. Any game that I have bought that uses the EA app, I get disconnected from my wifi and the Internet is greyed out. Internet won't work unless I restart my computer. But the second I try to play anything using the EA app the whole nightmare starts all over again. When will there be a fix for this??? I want to play the games I've purchased!!!

  • My issue is resolved now. I went into the Advanced Network Settings in Windows, selected "Network Reset," and restarted my computer—that fixed everything. I can join online sessions again!
