New bugs in 2026

After renewing my EA Play subscription, I returned to Battlefield 2042, but since then, I haven't been able to enter a single 2042 session. Every time I try, my network card crashes. I've tried updating my network card driver, motherboard BIOS, clearing the cache, updating and fixing anti-cheat measures, updating my NVIDIA graphics card driver, and using my phone's hotspot, but without exception, I get the same error message. I'm starting to believe that DICE is trying to drive players to Battlefield 6, but this will only drive players away.

My IP address is in the US, so I'm sure it's not a VPN issue.

  • It's incredibly frustrating to watch my teammates run into the air again and again, only to have the screen go black after each attempt; I still haven't found an effective solution.

    1. Update BIOS

    2. Connect to a hotspot network

    3. Update network card driver

    4. Update graphics card driver

    5. Clear graphics card cache

    6. Clear EA app cache

    7. Verify game integrity in Steam

    8. Uninstall and reinstall anti-cheat

    9. Repair anti-cheat

    10. Add a rule in Windows Firewall

    11. Grant the program public and private network permissions

None of the above methods worked; I've tried them all.

  • Update: Battlefield 6 is experiencing the same issue; it happened after I played for two hours.

The problem persisted, so I got a refund for Battlefield 6. This annoying bug is just too frustrating.

  • The problem is solved. Resetting the settings in Windows network advanced settings and restarting will resolve the issue.
