High CPU Usage and input Lag (Can't edit process priority in windows)

Hi Guys,

So, I've had some issues with the game upon returning to it, My CPU is pegged at 100% and this is causing input lag and jittery mouse inputs.

I had thought that being able to change the process priority or affinity in windows might resolve the mouse input problem however although I am the PC administrator, I cannot change these values in task manager at all with access denied messages, which is unique only to this game. Is there any way to allow these changes? 

I have attempted a fix with a user.cfg as well however this doesn't seem to change anything in the game either. 

I have the latest drivers, have run DDU, checked updates on windows update the usual steps I could find online to no avail. 

This also occurs regardless of settings or resolution, including the Nvidia reflex settings. 

Here are my specifications: 

CPU: i5-10300H

RAM: 16GB 

GPU: GTX 1650 4GB

SSD: 2TB Intel 660p

OS: Windows 11 Home

Yes, I am on a laptop but I do not have any thermal or power, throttling issues as I keep on top of maintenance and keep an eye on these things.

If I could change the process priority or limit the usage of the game even slightly, I think this would resolve my mouse input issue as this was common back in the day when your CPU was pegged. 

I will also note this is the only game with this problem, other battlefield titles, the latest call of duty, escape from Tarkov doesn't peg my CPU this way. 

The game is also installed through steam for reference. 

I will also note that I was able to play the game previously (season 2) without this issue occurring. 

Any solutions outside the common ones mentioned above would be helpful, thanks.
