As of today, may 28th, the game won't start and Easy ANticheat gives me a Security Violation c(111) error
I made no changes since yesterday, so I fail to see what could trigger EAC, though I know it's a trash anticheat and might think my RGB application is Cheat Engine or something
Anyone else had that particular error?
This is a EA/DICE issue that they are pushing onto players just so they can save the headache of their own team trying to configure a BETTER Anti-Cheat Program for BF2042 and BF6. This is more of a problem than a solution. You're going to see it in the player base numbers when it drops and returning to other games, hence Star Wars Battlefront 2 which has gained an absurd amount of players within the last couple of days not only because of Andor series, but also included due to this poor excuse of a patch to include reconfigure BiOS/Safe Boot mode JUST to play this game only.
There's ZERO reason you NEED people who play this game to change their BiOS/Safe Boot software just to play a video game to "cut down" on cheaters. Guess what? You didn't solve ANYTHING by telling players they need to mess around with their firmware/BiOS to play BF2042. The cheaters STILL exist right this very second. You've already heard the backlash from players bricking their PC, messing up their booting status, unable to STILL load the game despite following step-by-step to enable "Safe Boot" for BF2042. This is a EA/DICE issue, NOT a player issue.
I can put my PC into "Safe Boot" mode to play BF2042, but do I think the hassle that's not on my end worth playing BF2042 and for the next possible patch for BF2042 worsen this issue for compatibility reasons, new errors, unable to load BF2042 then revert back to having Safe Boot to "Disable/Off"? Nope.
Until YOU (EA/DICE) release a better fix for the players, the decline of BF2042 player base will continue. Good luck retaining players for BF2042 when most ppl have moved onto other games to include other BF games because they don't want to be potentially bricking their PC due to incompetence of the Anti-Cheat/Security team at EA/DICE HQ's.
This is not the way forward to improve the integrity of EAC or any other Anti-Cheat within Battlefield games since technology is constantly changing. There's already been breakthroughs back dooring your "solution" to where it does not matter if people have Safe Boot enabled so cheaters can still exist. What a joke.

On top of that, it seems the base of players who cheat has multiplied, the move went wrong and they still don't realize it
