BF2042 has refused to play since the update because of easy anti cheat i uninstalled the game 3 times uninstall eac almost 14 times restarted my laptop 3 times but nothing easy anti cheat is the worst to use .
Yep that is the on going problem with EAC I will be having a phone call with webroot tomorrow
my fix i posted works with uninstall. there will be no fix until after new year
Despite this being against my beliefs (applying a 3rd party patch to webroot), I did give it a try, and unfortunately it failed.
I was at safe mode with networking, manually shutdown webroot with CAPTCHA verification. Everything went well with the script, but the game fails to launch. It doesn't show error code 🏈 anymore, just nothing else happens after the pop up screen comes up with the anti cheat crap.

Just got done with webroot support and it finally rums
they said it should not have any impact with anything on protection. i asked the same thing 🙂
this fix is from webroot... not 3rd party.. the link i had to use because Webroot moved the link and i didnt want to email them asking where the link keep getting moved too...
The fix you posted from webroot got updated that's why it moved. That's what the tech told me this morning.
I fought and kicked and screamed and fought and did everything. I read until my eyes bled and to no avail... Until i uninstalled Webroot. Instant gratification. I emailed them, told them their program blocks mine. It also would not allow my Firefox to launch.
I am back in the good hands of Bitdefender. and it feels good.

Its not EA actually, as I thought the same thing, Webroot was clocking everything on my brand new comp. webroot is what the company that built my system uses. It is unfortunate that it blocks so much. /sadface
