OK, I have been working on this more and now I have doubts about my router. As mentioned I have Comcast 3Gb symmetrical internet. The Juniper ACX2100-AC comes with a 3Gb fiber connection and a 1Gb copper connection for some weird reason. So I hooked my PC directly up to the 1Gb copper connection and now I no longer see the micro stutters. So now I get the fun task of figuring out why my Ubiquiti UDM Pro is causing problems in BF2042 when I see no issue in any other game like this one. I have played countless hours of COD Warzone without a single hiccup at all. My theory is that the fq_codel QoS function in the UDM Pro is somehow delaying packets. fq_codel is a drop tail method of QoS so it could be that I just need to set up a firewall rule that ensures my PC is first in line no matter what. I'll keep y'all informed of my analysis.
I recommend if you are experiencing the micro stutters to try your connection directly to your ISP's modem and skip your firewall as a temporary test so as to not burden DICE with something that may not be their problem.
In bfv i had the same problems you described.
In the networkgraph i had little packetloss, not enough to trigger a warning symbol in bfv but enough to stutter.
speedtest were all good, but using smokeping and pingplotter i found out that my router was the problem.
I bought a new one and since then i did not have a single problem.
