This is long but maybe it will help
(bored at working while do network and server updates)
you mention "since last update" if this is windows, you can roll back the update, and be back to normal. sometimes new updates windows has issues.
Also windows updates sometimes resets your windows setting (such as enhanced mouse precision which might be windows default and that messes with FPS, that feature made Overwatch precision aiming near impossible)
Some tips if you are using Windows / PC below: if this is happening on console, should be using a controller for console (mouse and kb on console is generally used just for typing). If you are using MAC and WIn emulator, check if there is a mac version of this game cuz it might be the emulation (at my work we always have ppl running MS office through their Windows emulator on their Macs).
Try these, this is order of easy to hard
restart PC / and if windows is asking for updates (especially asking for a restart ) run those.
hard shutdown, shut down completely, and unplug PSU from AC adapter for a minute
When running BF the game, make sure ONLY the game is running (close down browsers, esp if you're tab hungry and have lots of open tabs, remember edge starts on Win machines by default, so close it out). There could be resource allocation issues or just compatibility like BF 6 and some reports of having Valorant open causing issues for either because the anti cheats can conflict, so make sure the client is closed.
Other thing is if you are running anti malware / anti virus, turn off auto scanning, it tends to run when your system is doing heavy clock cycle crunching or schedule outside of your gaming sessions.
If using Windows 10 / 11, go to control panel and mouse settings, pointer options tab, uncheck enhance pointer precision
Win 10/11 set virtual disk drive management to windows
NExt part before you do anything, BACK UP your stuff. If you are unsure of doing any of the below, talk to someone who knows.
basics
BIOS / UEFI make sure USB devices enabled (usually this is by default, you can also disable it, restart PC, got back into BIOS / UEFI and re-enable it)
BIOS / UEFI 2 -> make sure this is updated and your firmware is updated (if unsure about these two, refer to you mobo's manufacturer's site or ask a PC expert)
h/w
Make sure PC is running recommended specs, if you're on minimum, there are too many issues and lots of those could cause your mouse problem, so make sure you have recommended or higher.
make sure you're mouse was made after Win 10 release (2015), usb protocols change with OS . . . Also do not use legacy mouse (with PS/2 serial adapter to USB ) trackball ppl are guilty of this :D .
If using a gamer mouse (you should, Logitech makes a wired mouse that all the CSGO pros use, good price), update drivers, also set polling of the mouse as high as possible AND set sensitivity so its fast as you can handle it w/out being too twitchy (most ppl choose 2-5K, mine / personal is 12K )
Hopefully you are using SSD, if you have a traditional HDD @ 7200 rpm this could cause issues (rare but I've seen it due) in Win 11.
SSD related #2 hopefully have more than 100 GB free space (if not do so, since windows wigs out if not enough free space, 200 GB or more free is better), if not, free up space.
Windows check
run MS DOS and sfc scan on SSD you -> if ya don't know what this is, refer to an expert
Game: try uninstalling the game completely and run reve uninstaller to check if its completely remove. Restart your PC (yeah win 10 / 11 you don't need to but helps clear things by doing so). Reinstall the game. Do another restart before playing.
If you did direct upgrade say you had Win 10 on Win 11 compatible system and that was update that could cause the issue (back up stuff and do fresh win install)
Outside of those things, hit up EA BF 2042 support for support tix.
