No friends online in EA App (Battlefield 2042).

I have a copy of the game on Steam. My friend has a copy of the game on the EA App. When I launch Battlefield 2042, no one shows up in the tab menu. Battlefield 2042 shows that there are 0 friends online when this is not the case. We also can't play with another friend who has the game on Steam. At the same time, the two of us can connect to the same Portal server and join the same squad.

Please help me solve this problem. I didn’t find a solution on the Russian-language forum, so I came here.

What I did:

* launched EA App and Battlefield 2042 in administrator mode;

* disabled antivirus;

* reset EA App cache;

* reinstalled Battlefield 2042 and EA App;

I also want to note that when I launch Battlefield 2042, the EA App does not expand to full screen. When it still manages to be deployed, I am displayed as “offline”.

    I am glad you added this last bit, as I imagine you're not going to be successful connecting with friends if EA app thinks you are offline.

    Are you sure it displays "offline" when you are playing multi-player matches?

  • @DarthFDG I solved this problem this way: I downloaded the Origin client, installed it and installed a patch to remove the window about the need to update to the EA App. Now I can normally expand the overlay during the game, and my friend can also join my group (he plays through the EA App). So it goes.
