As long as you enable an XMP profile, you should be fine.
It's the game's fault, I have the same issues with 5950x and 3090.
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz, 16.0 GB, amd rx 580 8gb overclocked edition.
Always stutters at the beginning of a match, stutters during gameplay.
Has anyone found a fix?
Poor frames as well, I get an average of 70 on low.
Any help would be appreciated I just want to enjoy the game
EA Support and community,
I purchased the Gold Edition of this game and have been struggling with severe performance issues since my initial download back in the beginning of November. My biggest performance issue has been my FPS. No matter which game mode, regardless of player count, the FPS Warning/Critical symbol is displayed on the left hand side of my game. My PC specs are below along with the troubleshooting steps I have tried. Any suggestions to help with my performance issues would be greatly appreciated.
PC SPECS
MSI G65 Stealth
Processor: Intel Core i7-8750H
Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2060
Video Memory: 6GB GDDR6
RAM Memory: 16GB DDR4
Hard Drive: Internal 512GB SSD
ATTEMPTED TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS
-Reduced video quality on all settings to LOW
-Disabled ray tracing
-Reduced motion blur to lowest setting
-Disabled in-game overlays
-Cleared game cache
-Verified graphics drivers are up-to-date
-Enabled Game Mode on Windows
-Enabled+Boost on NVIDIA Latency setting
-Disabled Future Frame Rendering and Vertical Sync
Thanks!
@plfrost22 by the way i enabled that perfoverlay.drawfps and the only one that ever goes from green to yellow to red is the CPU and that is when I get the stutter, everything else is green.
Have you tried forcing the game to run on DX12? Should consider giving it a go if not, I have a low end rig that's just above the minimum spec and after turning DX12 on it runs a stable 60 FPS.
Go to Documents\Battlefield 2042\settings, open PROFSAVE_profile and set GstRender.Dx12Enabled to 1.
Good Afternoon,
Im experienceing 40-60 frames no matter the graphical settings and resolution.
I have a 2080 TI Xtreme 11GB and a intel I9 9900k and 16GIGS of RAM.
I have done everything that can be done on all support forums, INC uninstalling and reinstalling, enableing DX12 changing resolutions adjusting the profile settings manually everything is up to date and yet the game is locked at 40 - 60 frames with constant stuttering and crashing.
I can play ARMA 3 and ARK on HIGH and recieve 144 frames with little to no drop off.
- @YOUREUHMUNKEY Just for context, have you tried the official Rush mode through Portal yet?
Same issue man, I been playing Rush it seems to play a little better in that mode, maybe it is due to player count?
I have done everything I've found online, I still cannot engage in a fire fight in a highly contested area or objective, when I fire I can hear my gun skip shots and usually am dead before I even seen the enemy, or I get shot behind cover because apparently I am not rendering fast enough?
Mobo: MSI Z170a SLI Plus (latest bios installed)
CPU: i7 7700k 4.2ghz o.c. to 4.5ghz
GPU: GTX 1070 o.c. to 196 core and 600mhz 112vRam: 16gb DDR 2400mhz
Everything is Low and set to Performance and reduced resolution down to 1080p, still lucky to get 60-70fps until area is congested and my CPU turns red on Perfoverlay display and GPU fps may drop to 30-40
I have ran CCleaner, and Malwarebytes, all my drivers are current and up to date according to CCleaner nothing extra running in the background other then MSI Afterburner and Razer Cortex and my Razer synapse. Task Manger shows little CPU and RAM usage at desktop but 99% CPU usage when BF2042 is open.
I ran a test on userbenchmark and my results seem to be okay other then the Ram was not up to snuff due to my cooler blocking 2 slots, I have ordered 2 new 16gig sticks of ddr4 3600mhz but not sure that is my issue?
Server ping is usually around 60-70
My results from that test are as follows,
"CPU Performing above expectations 65th % tile, scored a 88.2%. Normal: - Memory 93.5, 1-core 135 , 2- core 257 (93%). -- Heavy 4-core 446, 8-core 681 (72%) -- Server 64-core 694 (47%)
"GPU Performing above expectations 81st % tile, scored a 84.2% 3d dx9 - lighting 104, reflection 117, parallax 108 (84% 110fps) 3d dx10 - mRender 109, gravity 103, splatting 103 (84% 105fps) " No 3d DX11 or higher test??
"SSD PNY - Performing below expectations 39th % tile, sequential Read 519, write 480, mixed 397, suswrite 193 (89% 397MB/S) -- Random 4k, 4k Read 34.8, 4k write 65.8, 4k mixed 37 (135% 45.9mb/s) -- Deep Queue 4k, DQ Read 366, DQ write 144, DQ Mixed 193 (159% 234mb/s)
"Ram 16gb DDr4 @2400mhz - Performing below potential 13th % tile, ensure that a dual+ channel XMP Bios is enabled -- 45.4% -- Multicore, MC Read 15.4, MC Write 15.4, MC Mixed 13 (42% 14.6gb/s) -- Single core, SC Read 13.8, SC Write 17.2, SC Mixed 16.8 (46% 15.9gb/s) -- Latency 61 (66% 61 ns)
Does anyone see anything that stands out in my results?
I hope this gets figured out soon, I have been hanging in there trying to grind through it hoping to find a fix myself or constantly googling and youtubing to maybe find the answer but have not found the answer yet.
-KyleI've been having performance issues since the latest title update as well. I read somewhere in the patch notes that during launch, the games majority of processes was handled by the CPU as opposed to the GPU and since the latest update they relaxed CPU usage by moving more code over to the GPU. There are threads on here discussing the heavy CPU load during beta and launch and I think this is part of our problem. I'm running a R9 3950 for a CPU with an old rx590 GPU. I consistently was getting over 60 fps at 1080p with no stutters. Virtually flawless in my opinion. Now my GPU utilization is at 100% pegged all the time with only 20% or so on average CPU utilization and get stutters and fps drops all the time, especially while ADSing. Still looking into it. It doesn't help that I can't tweak process priority either. Permissions with affinity and priority tweaking seem to be denied regardless of windows UAC settings. Hopefully a moderator acknowledges this and passes it on to the devs. Your 2080 ti is a decent GPU though which is head scratching, however I still think whatever the devs did in the last update in regard to how CPUs and GPUs work together crippled some system configurations.
Yes, the player count is definetly responsible.
Sure, 128 player will be more cpu demanding - but still is should run "smoother" than currently. At this moment a 128 player match is a "wild ride" in terms of fps.
