Re: Unable to add people crossplay

I'm having the same/similar problem. I am on PS5 and can't add either of two friends on PC (nor can they add me) on the PS5. When logged into Origin we can see that we are already friends, it just isn't showing on the game.

Also, we tried setting up portal servers to join and found out that we aren't able to see the same Portal games (we have completely different lists when browsing or searching). We get no results searching for each others' games. Cross-play is enabled in the settings for the server/experiences, as well as in game settings on both sides.

I saw this as a known bug:

"We're aware of a unique situation where accounts that have access to Battlefield 2042 across multiple platforms may cause Cross Play Friends to not appear"

I had my EA and Playstation Network accounts linked up when I had a PS4 and played previous Battlefield versions. Given that PS4 and newer PC cross-play is not supported, I suspect it may be related to this. I tried un-linking and re-linking my PSN account in my EA account but that didn't fix the issue.

I hope they can figure this out soon!!

I'm in the same boat friends on origin but unable to see or find on battlefield please help.

You need to add them as EA Friends in the game and not in Origin. @syndicite570895 @H3ndr1kV3rw03rd @1eyewilly @STINISTER

That is where they are not showing up. We search eachothers ea id as shown on our ea profile and it's shows as not existing. We tried gamer tags as well and still nothing. I already have them as ea friends on apex but they still don't show in my ea friends on battlefield or in the battlefield ea search bar.

Same here. Still no success. We have tried all of the below:
(Yes, Cross-Play is turned ON in my PC & his xbox one)
- Search for each others names IN-GAME & nothing
- Tried joining custom servers to add each other that way & can't find the same Custom Server
- Each of us created a Custom Server & searched for it... Nothing.

@ElliotLH my friend is on PC im on xbox series X i have him added on the EA app on my laptop and when we play APEX i can see him online its just on battlefield 2042 i cant see him

@killakush6970 Have you confirmed with your friend that they're running the Series S/X version rather than the Xbox One version (the game tile on their Xbox will say which version they are launching)?
