Security Violation: DiscSoftLTD

16:00:Played couple hours ago completly fine.

15:30: Exit BF2042
             Browsed YouTube

19:00: Bf2042 Fails to luanch

No, I dont have any 'DiscSoftLTD' software installed.


Apps open: EA, BF2042, NVidia

Security Violation:
This software cannot be used at the same time as the game.
Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC. (84):

    Fixed this by disabling 'DAEMON Tools Lite Virtual SCSI Bus'
    Device Manager > Storage controllers > 'DAEMON Tools Lite Virtual SCSI Bus'

    No clue how this got here, never installed Disc Soft tools

    It seems they updated BF2042 AC with Apex L AC

    Is there any solution if you don't have any of the Daemon Tools,  reWASD or anything from Disc Soft installed on my PC but are still getting the same error message? It seems quite a few other BF2042 players are having the same problem as my PC. All i can think of is that it is related to the windows update last night? EA?

    As already mentioned, other people have resolved this error by removing Daemon Tools, reWASD etc. It might be worth trying to uninstall anything from Disc Soft.

    hooray, it worked, try to remove this Daemon Tools from yourself.... and after that, I started the BF2042 without any problems.    🔊

    This happened to me after I installed BF4. Had no issues, 1000hrs in 2042 now this... **bleep** IT !
    Tried uninstall, reinstall (both games) uninstalled, reinstalled, repaired rebooted Daemon tools... all variants... no fix.
