|SOLVED|DirectX function E-INVALIDARG Error
<SOLVED> I deleted all the files in the cache folder. C/Users/username/Documents/Battlefield 2042/cache and that did the trick. I can now play Stranded again.
I played the new update last night, no problems, turned off the PC. Less than 12 hours later I boot the PC, no update changes what I could see, and every time I try to load a map the game crashes in the loading screen to this error message.
One thing that I find weird is that it states my D: drive that is just a SATA Hard Drive used for storage. No games or anything is installed on this drive.
I tried to boot Battlefield 5 (DX12) and it worked like a charm.
I have tried repair game files and reinstall graphics drivers.
I have tried turning off Future frame rendering and Nvidia boost.
I have tried changing page file size.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
I have tried a Clean reboot
I am very confused because I played the game less than 12 hours ago, didn't do any changes on my PC and suddenly it doesn't work anymore?
Playing on Origin
Edit: I realized I had only tried to play the conquest 24/7 Stranded mode.
I tried Rush, I got no error loading into a game.
Then I tried normal conquest (128p) (not the 24/7 Stranded) and I loaded into the "Discarded" map and could play with no problems
Then I tried to load Breakthrough stranded 24/7 (64p) and I crashed with the same error.
I try loading the stranded map in Co-op 4 player mode and i Crash with same error.
Edit2: been playing for 2 hours with no crashes on different maps and it is only when the new Stranded map loads that I crash.
So it seems this error only comes when I try to load the new map?
