Stuck on splash screen
I just upgraded to a new PC and now when I launch Battlefield, after the anti-cheat loads and the game starts, it stays on the splash screen (as shown in attachment) indefinitely until I close it by pressing alt-F4.
While I still have the user data from the original installation (as I carried my storage drives over), it did not work. I tried deleting the old user data and it still did not work.
Disabling all non-microsoft startup items ('clean boot") did not help.
I found a thread where someone sovled this by disabling oneDrive, but that did not help either. I reviewed the sticky thread as well.
Dxdiag is attached.
I even tried launching the game from the old install location on the drive I carried over from my old PC. It surprisingly did launch as normal but again, still same issue.
Try the following, thanks.
- Download and install all available Windows Updates
- Run System File Checker to ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
- Perform a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 or http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
