The Butterfly Effect of a Battle Pass Bug
Issue Explanation Hi everyone, I would like to share my situation here and sincerely hope someone from the EA team can help me. A few days ago, I encountered a Battle Pass bug in Battlefield 6 — the game showed that my weapon rewards were unlocked, but I couldn’t receive them. Because of this bug, I contacted EA Support to check if something was wrong with my account linking. That’s when everything started to go wrong. How the problem started (the butterfly effect) When the support agent checked my account, we discovered something unexpected: My Steam account was linked to an EA account that wasn’t mine I had never seen that EA account before So I contacted EA Support and asked them to help me unlink that incorrect EA account, hoping it would fix the issue. After unlinking, I linked my Steam to what I believed was my correct EA account. But the next time I launched Battlefield 6… 👉 My entire progress was reset to Level 2. 👉 All weapons, specialists, stats, achievements were gone. 👉 My purchased Battle Pass Pro progress also disappeared. I later learned this happens when EA accounts are unlinked, even though all my purchases and playtime were made through Steam. My current situation I fully accept that my old progress cannot be restored. I spent a week contacting EA Support many times, and I understand the limitation. So I decided: ✔ I’m okay with starting over ✔ I’m willing to repurchase the Battle Pass Pro on my new progress But now I’m stuck again. The new problem: I cannot repurchase the Battle Pass Steam shows that I already purchased the Battle Pass EA shows that I don’t own it anymore This mismatch prevents me from buying it again Support told me: My original Battle Pass is tied to my old Steam → old EA link But I cannot relink my old Steam because of the 6-month cooldown So I have no option to repurchase the Battle Pass What I am asking for I am not asking for progress restoration anymore. I only have one request: 🔵 Please reset or refresh my Battle Pass entitlement so that I can repurchase the Battle Pass on my new progress. I’m completely fine with starting from zero. I even want to support the game again by buying the Battle Pass Pro. But the system currently won’t let me. Why I believe this deserves attention All of this started because of the initial Battle Pass bug, not because of any misuse or wrong intention from me. It has now affected: My progress My ability to purchase content My overall game experience I truly love Battlefield and just want to enjoy the game again. If anyone from the EA team can look into my Battle Pass entitlement, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you to anyone who reads or supports this post. — A player just trying to return to the battlefield
