This worked for me, thank you for the info!
Solution: Launch EA app then click on log out, close all EA related process from Task Manager, then launch the game again from Steam. Now it should connect to the server properly! If issue still persists, do the same as I mentioned, then enable VPN (e.g. Mullvad/Proton etc) then launch the game through Steam

What would be your solution for a console? Once our PSN connection is made via EA app there is no need to revisit it, just to be safe I logged out and back in to my EA app through my PSN account
