I unlinked my PSN account, linked it to a temporary EA account, and got the trophy. But now I can’t unlink my PSN from that temporary EA account for six months. Support told me that deleting the temporary account will not unlink PSN, and I’ll still have to wait 6 months. If you’re not ready to lose access to your main EA account for half a year — do NOT try this, it no longer works.
Because of this, I canceled my Battlefield 6 pre-order, since I can’t play it on the account I’ve been using for Battlefield since 2010. I’m very disappointed that the developers haven’t fixed this issue for more than six months — and even more that when players find workarounds, the developers shut them down.
