Enjoying the Beta so far! I got some feedback...
First off congrats to everyone who worked hard to get the game this far it's really great and I hope y'all get some rest when this all done. I'll just have a simple list layout here for any feedback to share and others to discuss. I know a lot of this is unlikely to be doable at launch, but still on a "nice to see at some point" list.
- Scoreboard is a bit simplistic in layout with only K/D/A and Caps. It's kinda helpful to see Revives and Resupplies so I know if I need to swap to support to help the team more.
- The action log (spots, kills, assists) seems a bit hard to see at times with it being a more faded white. Would like to see it more opaque for better visibility.
- Alternate scope/attachment modes seemed to be missing the interact prompt on the HUD. For example, deploying bipods. Maybe I'm blind but I missed it if it's there and idk if that speaks to a wider issue of HUD visibility.
- Footsteps especially those of enemies could be a bit louder. Granted I'm hard of hearing as is but it could honestly go a long way. Don't need it to be crazy loud just a bit to have a bit better of a chance in some fights.
- Jets could possibly benefit from a continuous directional turn system akin to Elite: Dangerous. Right now, it is a "relative mouse distance" deal with automatic centering. Having it sorta "set and forget" could be nice just so I'm not having to constantly swipe up, down, and around.
- IFV ammo resupply feels a bit stingy on the ammo given for the primary gun. Factoring in the resupply time it ends up idling for a good bit and while of course it should be vulnerable in this time it just feels a bit too much.
- Thermobaric grenades feel a bit too oppressive when used. Massive damage on top of a number of debuffs just feels unfun to engage against and often hits when you just least expect it. Hopefully there's some level of reduction in the debuffs or damage to kinda smooth it out.
- Defibs seem a bit TOO easy to spam revives. It's nice that they are strong and all but the fact you can get a guy up before his body hits the ground seems a tad bit overkill imo. They should totally be fast but maybe add a longer cooldown between uses to prevent utter spam.
- Iberian Offensive spawns have a few areas for example towards Echo side HQ that allow very potent spawnkilling. Tossing some extra cover or expanding the uncap zones could help alleviate issues when such instances occur. Other maps have a few spots/angles but to me that one is the most egregious example that could use love first.
I'm struggling to think of much else at the moment, but I'll likely just add stuff that comes to mind later and do a new post for next weekend's run in case of changes. Here's to next weekend!
