Pace of Play and Map Sizing

I have been a fan of Battlefield for over 10 years and I wanted to give my opinion for the game. To begin, I like a lot of the new mechanics added, my favorite being the drag squad revive. Additionally, the outlines for zones is helpful as well.

Regarding things that I believe need improving are two big ones that go hand and hand. The gameplay is far too quick, with time to kill being the fastest I have seen by far (putting shame to BFV's). I have been an avid BF1 player and this shift has been apparent. It is more just spray and pray for a quick time to kill rather than put effort into a life.

The map sizing is additionally far too small compared to previous games. I was on Cairo and Iberian and the furthest flag point was around 200 meters. This is absurd, looking at previous games where 200 meters may separate two flags. The small maps feed this tight and frenzied pace of play with games lasting 15-20 minutes instead of 25-30 mins for previous games.

I think Dice is trying to become more like Call of Duty as seen with the beta for Battlefield 6. However, I don't like this rushed feeling at all. I have always loved Battlefield for being more open and slowed down in the grand scheme of things. Just wanted to get it off my chest.
