Battlefield 6 – Public Suggestion Thread for EA & DICE
Hey EA/DICE and fellow Battlefield fans,
I wanted to start a centralized suggestion thread that EA and the developers can hopefully monitor to see what the community really wants for Battlefield 6 (BF6) — not just at launch, but as the game evolves over time. The goal is to help keep the game fresh, community-driven, and something players want to return to again and again.
Suggestion: Community-Created Maps via Portal Tools
One idea I'm really excited about revolves around community-created maps using Portal or similar tools. Here's the concept:
Public Map Creation: Allow players to design maps using EA’s tools (whether it's Portal or something more advanced).
Submission System: Players can submit maps directly to EA through a formal submission process.
Voting System: Each month, the community votes on their favorite submissions.
Live Rotation: The top 5 community-voted maps are added to the public rotation for a month.
Permanent Selection: The top 2 maps (based on popularity and performance) get officially added to the game.
Not only does this give the game a constant flow of new content, but it also highlights the talents of the community and gives players a true sense of ownership and involvement.
I’ve heard arguments like “this is really hard to pull off,” and I totally get it — but I also know there are a lot of incredibly skilled people out there who would love to contribute. Some may be aspiring level designers, game devs, or just longtime players with great ideas.
Disclaimer: EA could include a clear TOS stating that any submitted content becomes their property to avoid legal issues. That’s fair.
