The vehicle weapons are weak, but the splash damage of any explosive in the game seems weak too. If the splash damage increased, then engineers repairing enemy armored vehicles would be at risk. Its too easy to repair vehicles under fire right now.
It's BF4 vehicle gameplay was the pinnacle for the BF series on console. BF6 needs to gravitate to that. I'm not a fan of the top down mine either, at least not with its extraordinary power with little to no counter. I feel the same about air vehicles too. Aircraft need better defenses against missiles. BF4 felt very balanced between factions and different vehicles. There would be games I could shut down a part of the map with a Shika and then games where skilled pilots and engineers would ruin any chance of dominating with a Shika. Flying as a helicopter pilot in BF6 is difficult to fly, then you have the issue of AA guns and missiles taking you down quick without countermeasures. I played hardcore on BF4 so you could die quick, but countermeasures could bail you out when used right.
I'm also concerned that the map sizes are going to be too small for vehicle warfare. I'm kind of happy about Operation Firestorm, but would like to see other maps like Gulf of Oman, Caspian Border, and Golmud Railroad. Hopefully some of the larger maps at release will be larger than what the beta has shown.
