I had the exact same issue. Refunded it on ea app and bought it on Steam in order to play it. Contacted earlier support and they told me basically nothing they can do and I've lost the pre ordered bundle and also the apology perks now being issued.
There must be thousands of us in the same position who pre ordered, pre loaded, ran the game, only for it to fail to work.
