Thats just battlefield. The games are made for a few years at least. You all want to unlock everything in a week. Honestly the bigger issue for me would be the challenges to unlock certain things which are completely **bleep**.

The progression in this game isn't designed around the ability to complete it within a day. The whole idea behind progression is that it gives you something to do for a prolonged period of time. You really don't need to make 1200 kills per weapon. A large majority of the useful attachments unlock within only a few games of playing with the weapon.

That said, I do agree that there are some problematic challenges in the game that definitely need a change. They are already working on it, but it seems like it's not something that they can easily adjust.

It should be a tad quicker, now you rush to mastery 20 but after it slows down way too much

It’s great that there is something to do for a prolonged time, but if it feels too grindy, when the sweats already boosted every weapon against bots, that kinda stuff makes people quit the game

If I extrapolate my stats it would take 100+ hours just to unlocked one weapon fully. Compared to Bf2042 where it took 1 hour vs bots they have just way over exaggerated in Bf6

Many aspects of Bf6 do not promote just playing the game which is sad, gotta jump through so many hoops to unlock stuff, don’t get me wrong I like the challenge approach but many are broken and both wep xp and some challenges are just too grindy.

As others have said by mastery 25 you pretty much have a gun kitted out, the rest are just camo and badges.

New era? Almost every battlefield before the rubbish 2042 had grinds like this.

Bf4 it was random what attachments you got.

No, 2042 was a disaster and what you described was one of the reasons why.

BF1 had it right. The basic weapons were decent and all you unlocked was variety and flexibility not raw power.

To be fair to DICE even BF4 (and BF3? I can barely remember) did it this way.

I've never understood the 'design'. It creates a fake power gap (that people call a 'skill' gap when it isn't) handing more raw power to people that have more time to play is a double-whammy to noobs and casuals.

Unfair, frustrating and off-putting.

And I'm someone who is now rank 128 and has a ton of time to play and a ton of unlocks. It's not fair and I don't want it. Something else I've never understood is supposedly 'skilled' players who are happy to noob stomp.

It's not going to change, though. EA/DICE want to push people to pay to unlock stuff.

Nothing to do with being entitled. Game has a lot of guns, people want to have fun with a bunch of them. In the current state, you can’t do this. Also if guns or mechanics get changed (nerfed/buffed) you’re going to have one hell of a time switching if you have to. Game is about combat, should be able to enjoy a level playing field with any gun in a decent amount of time. Don’t lock huge advantages behind huge grinds. This isn’t an mmo, I’m not looking for a full time job just to get the most out of a video game.
