Played a bit more....
- The "mini-map" down lower left of UI is helpful, not the map I was referring to above however. The big, full screen map was what I was referring to above. Very difficult to locate myself on that map as it's a tiny non-directional icon that I must hunt for.
- When I spawn into a Tank, 9 times out of 10 I'm apparently just a rider. If I switch seats (A), I'm still just a rider...can't aim, shoot or drive the tank...just move my camera viewpoint around. I know how to jump out/off, but how do I enter a tank and use it as a weapon?
- The spawn-in screen...There's usually a timer. Once it gets to zero, what is the goal of this screen? Usually when I click on a spot to spawn in, it just beeps and does nothing. If I click on a green player, sometimes I spawn near that player but often times I get the beep and NOTHING happens. Sometimes I spawn in BumF*ck far, far from the action. How am I supposed to use the spawn screen to my advantage as a player? Should it not act to mitigate the distances between/among objectives and fellow combatants? I really can't tell the difference between my choosing explicit spawn in points one after the other until one works and my just randomly hitting the button while randomly moving the pointer around the map until I get the spawn in. That is BS.
- Large maps with the 60+ players I find that: a) spawn in is a joke, b) objectives are so far away (spawn issue?) that if I can reach them, I get killed right away and end up far, far away again. Nobody seems to respawn my dead character so that is also off the table most of the time. What is the winning play strategy on these maps/modes.
- Small maps where respawn does NOT involve the choose-a-spot-to-respawn-window: I find this feels more like a proper match as the opposing forces are smaller and no f*ckn around with the spawn screen's seemingly random nature. I don't have to hike for lengthy stretches of time to reach the action.
What am I missing?
