A hybrid middle-ground approach to class restrictions proposal.

Goal 1
Players get a gameplay advantage when knowing by earing/seeing the enemy class  when an enemy is spotted.

Goal 2
Players are not restricted as much as in older games in what guns they can to play.

Per class ideas :

Recons
-Only class that can use bolt action snipers(but not DMRs)?-
This means you do not need to worry about getting killed from extreme long ranges unless the enemy spotted is recon player.
(or  restrict over 4x scopes)

-Only class that can use Silencers on all guns?-
Make recons the stealth specialist, also a consideration when spotting them.

Assaults
-Only class with Semi/full-auto Shotguns (but not pump or other manually loaded ones)?-
Makes the idea of engaging the strongest close range weapon in the game more predictable or dismissed when the enemy class is known/spotted.

Engineers
-only class with silencers on SMGs as non recons?-
This makes them less capable in long ranges battles if they choose it because of SMG's attributes.
Gives them higher survivability thru close range performance of SMGs and their added stealth.
Hopefully this would encourage them to focus on repair and to attack vehicles or make them more tuned to the role.

Supports
-Only class with extended mags for Machineguns and or heavier machineguns?-
This way when spotting an enemy, it is known instantly if they have the ability to sustain fire for very long periods.

Using this approach, only bolt action Snipers OR long scopes AND auto Shotguns end up restricted.
You also get back a lot of usefullness out of spotting ennemyes that old players loved.
What do you think?
