I don't mind the skins, well some are just cringy, but if they just stopped splashing yellow paint all over everything it would be better.
I don't think think they will though, why would someone buy a skin to either show off or purposefully pee people off if everyone could just hide it.
I think the bright yellows and stuff stem from the fc/fifa games, they have seen how many people are attracted to these garish colours.
Its all about max profits, if they sell ea don't really give a **bleep** what some players think.

The biggest critique to my solution would be "why would anyone get these skins if no one sees them" is a super valid one, but I like to shut it down respectfully in a simple way.
Through your own admission you wrote "I don't mind the skins" in the beginning meaning, maybe you wouldn't actually turn the skins "off" in the settings? there's probably a huge amount of people who wouldn't. But to the majority of Battlefield veterans that are sick and fed up with the monster energy drink skins. This would be an amazing solution to counter the money that EA could make including the backlash.
In short: EA still makes money and saves face. and lets be honest most people who are playing coming from COD want these skins and they won't turn it off.
