About map selection.

This is just my personal opinion, but I'd prefer a post-match voting system to choose the next map.
Like in BF1, for example.

What do you all think?

  • I think it's a good idea, but it could lead to a specific map rotation. Personally, I want to play on a variety of maps, so I don't need a map selection system. I think a "rental server" with a collection of popular maps would be well-received.

In some part I was fine with how this worked out in Battlefield 1, mainly because it had some maps that weren't as fun as others. But at the same time, I didn't really miss it before they implemented this and also didn't miss it in Battlefield V or Battlefield 2042.

So personally I think I prefer to not have this option if I'm honest.

  • No not for me, I just want persistent servers that rotate all maps. Not being thrown back into the pool with a chance of playing the same map twice.
If in the rotation a maps comes up which I dislike, yeah I'm looking at you Hourglass, I simply leave and join another server. For that a server browser would be very nice as well. It should provide info on which map is currently being played and upon request the rotation of the next maps.

I just hope the game will be a success so we can have multiple servers filled at all times and not having to turn crossplay on.

I think having the choice on private servers of regular rotation or vote-map is the answer. Instead of being forced into one or the other. Persistent servers though should be A#1 with a bullet, as dropping to queue again after every match feels god-awful.
