Accessibility and Performance Discrimination: Exploring Bot XP Nerfing

I have conflicting opinions about the portal/bot xp nerfing:

The selling point of this game: prioritizing performance based gameplay and returning shooters back to their former glory. I was hyped to experience shooters how I think they should be experienced and I have a lot of fun playing, it feels like warfare, it feels like how I imagined all those shooter sequels should’ve felt.

I had walked away from and given up on the shooter genre for a while now. I literally got a life and a full-time job helping people in need. This brings up the conflicting point/question.

Are the consumers that value performance based gameplay more important then those that value casual gameplay and those with disabilities that prevent them from enjoying the game.
By nerfing XP for bots/portal, whether knowingly or not, EA is actively discriminating against their consumers who would not have fun, a fair chance, and/or the availability to play the game as intended.

What would a developmentally disabled adult do if he didn’t have any option other than to play. By definition, he would be discriminated from playing the game.
Let me elaborate, and if you choose to argue, well, really shows where your priorities lie:

If challenges, assignments, weapon mastery, etc. Are all a part of the game, then everybody should have the ability to complete those parts of the game. Otherwise, how could they actually play the game (in its entirety).

I have no problem comparing myself to those impacted by the XP Nerf. The base level of hard/soft skills and inherent talent it takes to enjoy a match is unreasonable. These skills require time, and I don’t have THAT kind of time. In fact, THAT kind of time came and went nearly a decade ago, especially when Fortnite remodeled all the shooters genres into Toys “R” Us.

At the end of the day, I want to be able to set a specific amount of time towards gaming. Although right now every time I do set time for battlefield 6 it feels like time and money wasted. It is unfair that I don’t have the skills to match to earn anything yet those with the skills are able to unlock everything and use it.

I don’t care if I have to work to earn things, although limiting earning to only with human players strictly limits my ability to enjoy this game. None of the assignments would be unreasonable if I could complete them using bots. The same goes for pretty much everything else in this game that you have to unlock.

Ending my rant… In order for game producers to truly intend to make games that will last they need to allow their players to play the game how they want to. I believe that game producers should stop determining who out of their consumer base to pave a one-way road for. If there are performance based players and casual players who want something different, find a way to give them both what they want.

My message to EA directly- please deeply consider my note/feedback. I want to enjoy this game just as much as you shareholders want me to. If it’s simple as that, then just make me happy. Although I know it’s not. There are performance based players that get really loud and throw a temper tantrum if people are given a chance to “get good” AND enjoy the game in any other way other than as a positive input in their K/D ratio. Pay no mind to them, this game is ALSO targeted at the older consumer base, so it would be in your shareholders best interest to account for the adults who don’t live in their parents basement/live off of their parents trust fund and play video games pro bono. It would be in your best interest to account for adult consumer base who is excited to casually play a FPS how they remember FPS: the player that wants to hop on, rack up kills, complete some assignments, and call it a day (without needing to exceed the base level of skill required to do so)
