This discussion would not exist if DICE, as part of its inclusive woke progress, did not force players to play with a keyboard and mouse instead of a controller. DICE would simply return to the roots of the game, without mandatory multiplatform inclusion of PCs and consoles.
However, I am in favor of cross-play definitely being an option, especially for masochists who like to torture themselves with thoughts of how their opponent has an advantage. If these thoughts bother you, then there's a simple solution. Just turn off cross-play and play only with equal players, i.e., players using controllers. Then you'll all have the same advantages.
Unfortunately, PC players do not have this freedom of choice. That is, if I disregard the unofficial and impractical change the game's presets. Believe me, there is a hell of a difference between playing on a dedicated server for one gaming platform.
