Aircraft flare duration needs a substantial increase [Aircraft feedback]
Anti-air missiles (of any kind) are currently way too effective while very easy to use.
This disrupts aircraft gameplay and balance considerably.
Aircraft vs aircraft engagements become meaningless because you have to disengage IMMEDIATELY after someone locks onto you and fire a missile; otherwise, you can easily get locked on again from an insane distance because of the ridiculously short flare duration. This is worse if you are already flying at a high altitude towards the enemy prior to the lock on because you likely won't have time to retreat after deploying your first round of flares.
This reduces the skill ceiling for dogfights. There's already leaked footage of the stealth fighters just spamming anti-air missiles in jet-vs-jet encounters, making the 25 mm cannon redundant and sucking the fun out of dogfights.
Locking onto air targets doesn't exactly require much skill and should therefore not be nearly as rewarding as it currently is.
A longer flare duration (at least 1.5x original value) will likely solve this issue and increase the skill ceiling in a bunch of areas.
Below Radar should also make a comeback, but I think that is a different conversation.
