Armored vehicles and AT thoughts
Dont often post here, try to keep it that way.
Spent some time this morning testing and playing live.
Thus far, I enjoy not being instantly obliterated while playing the vehicles. HOWEVER.
Having also been on the receiving end of vehicle combat, I feel completely incapable of engaging armored vehicles even as an engineer.
The NLAW attacking from the front does help against a good tank player. But I watched the AMPV drive through 3 side attack SLAM and proceed to eat 3 rockets without any engineer support and survive.
That is an instance where that vehicle should be dead. Events like this are becoming noticeably frequent. Where Everything to destroy the vehicle has been done right and it just will not die.
Consistently I am unable to destroy tanks or IFV's even when being uncontested by the vehicle or the enemy team due to the sheer lack of damage I can put out.
If they add an engineer to the mix giving repairs it is completely unbeatable, even with several squads focus on the vehicle.
I think we are much closer to the intended position and strength of the vehicles than we were on the previous patch. But it is just a little too far in the vehicles favor.
Key notes:
Vehicle health may be fine? Consider an adjustment to the AT weaponry damage or damage zones.
Maybe a small boost to the damage at the Rear 1/4 sides of the vehicle.
Top attack angle for RPG-7 is too narrow. Hits that are without a doubt a top angle hit are doing 180~ damage max.
Re check super repair torch - Appears to still be bugged and not functional
