Assault stims weak … or am I using them wrong

I have been playing assault class a lot in recent weeks, and I am still trying to figure out a good use for the stims that come with the class. In other games, I know stims would heal you as well as give you damage resistances, but in BF6 it seems like it is more about resistances to effects. I have learned to use the stims to help with flanking, which I believe was the intention of the devs for its use, but it still feels a little lackluster. I have never been able to successfully use the stims to get out of stun or flash, since the time it takes to use the stim and the bring my gun out feels close to the time it takes for the effects to actually wear off, at which point I am dead. I have only used them to get a speed boost for the flanking. Is there an effect from the stim that I am missing, or is it just speed around and get rid of effects that last the same amount of time? It would be nice if there was also a reactionary way to use them, like maybe starting health regen on use, but I am not sure if that is a thing cause I am usually busy trying not to die to notice anything with my health.

  • They are a clear and obvious rip from CoD that the devs realized probably near release would be completely broken.  So in order to make it fit within the "battlefield" type of game, everything that it did best in CoD was removed and it now tries to fill a role in BF that doesn't even need to exist. 

    Ergo it sucks.

    There was a VERY good reason classic BF classes operated as they did.  I've got no idea why there wasn't a return to form when they were selling the BF3 and BF4 "return to roots" gameplay so hard.  Felt like a bait and switch, at least in terms of classes.

  • The stim is just too weak nowt, at least give it a health regeneration effect.

    If you find them weak, you’re probably using them wrong, they’re actually useless.

    Jokes aside, the whole class has issues. Its basic gadget is severely underpowered compared to very other class, and assault has very few worthwhile gadgets for its other slots. I usually run a spawn gadget and a DMR, nothing else is really worth it. And of course because DICE killed closed weapons, every other class can run with assault rifles, no edge there either (and it’s not as if ARs were over powerful in the first place either).

    I still assault once in a while because I believe the spawn gadget can really give a squad an edge, but yeah, it feels like playing half a class compared to anything else.
