they only have a chance to stop it with Next gen consoles. They need to make controllers have signed private keys and not license those keys to 3rd party controller sellers. (they wont. cause they make a lot of money doing this)
That's the only way they can lock out this device because otherwise it just appears to the console as a normal controller. Because it uses signed keys from a real controller.
AI detection of these devices is constantly bypassed (See rainbow six siege)
The only way is to detect them at the hardware level and the only way to do that is to keep the controller keys private and not sell to 3rd party controller sellers. For example PowerA, controllers.
Playstation had a leak of their controller key and that enabled Hardware adapters to be used, they found out and disabled that key, thats why there was a brief period that cronus didnt work on playstation.
They found a way around that with another key or by using remote play to bypass controller key requirements.
