Have the developers already forgotten why they stopped forcing players into REDSEC for Weekly Challenges and made them completable in either REDSEC or the traditional BF modes?
The reason REDSEC is underpopulated is simple: BF players are not looking for a battle royale experience.
Adding more challenges or creating more BR spin-off modes is not going to change that.
You even removed Rush, a traditional and iconic BF mode, supposedly to avoid splitting the matchmaking population.
So how does it make any sense to then create yet another new battle royale mode that hardly anyone asked for?
It has been almost a year since launch.
At this point, it is time to accept that trying to integrate battle royale into BF was a failure, cut your losses, and move on.
Firestorm failed. Hazard Zone failed. BF battle royale had already used up its Second Chance before BF6 was even released.
Instead of spending development resources trying to revive a battle royale that has already failed to attract players, those resources should be used to build features the community actually wants, such as a proper Server Browser and a Vehicle Test Range, or to fix bugs that have been left unresolved for months.
This Phantom Program, which feels like an attempt to paper over the failure of battle royale, has killed 99% of my interest in buying the next BF.
If you are that determined to make a battle royale, then go make APEX 2.
Leave the BF community out of it.
