Battlefield 6 Weapon Progression Is Hurting the Game
Battlefield 6’s weapon progression needs a major fix because it’s too grindy, inconsistent across weapon classes, and hurts match balance. The gap between base guns and fully upgraded weapons is too big—essential attachments like recoil control, optics, and ammo options can completely change performance, leaving new players or anyone leveling a fresh weapon at a huge disadvantage. Progression also lacks clear tracking, so players aren’t always sure what actions are counting (kills, assists, objective score, suppressions, revives, squad play) or how close they are to the next unlock. A better system would reward skill and teamwork as much as kills, reduce repetitive “farm” playstyles, improve milestone clarity, and add catch-up options like starter attachments, low-level weapon XP boosts, or challenges that encourage variety so experimenting stays fun and competitive.
