I agree with you on Gauntlet. I didn't think I'd like it but it's a nice change of pace from the other modes.
And there needs to be more verticality in the maps along with making the maps larger.
Smoke grenades need to stay Support only. There's way too much smoke thrown as it is.
The respawn beacon is perfect on Assault. We already have enough recons camping. They don't need a spawn beacon to make it easier for them to camp.
You do realize that it's called a TRANSPORT chopper for a reason, right? It's not designed to be used offensively against other vehicles.

With all due do respect no there is not enough smoke as is. If your running into a lot of smoke, I almost guarantee you its a support player running the smoke launcher and smoke grenades because having both basically allows for the player to infinitely throw smoke with both items, if the support decides to stand next to their resupply pack. Overall making the game player for the support and the opposite team miserable. If the rate at which a player recovered smoke grenades was reduced this issues goes away. Blackwell, Firestorm and Mirak Valley (especially on breakthrough) would all feel significantly better to play if you could move across the map instead of having to basically stick to certain areas like islands, because attempting to leave them will basically get you killed, for the sin of attempting to move to another point.
As for the respawn beacon, also no. The respawn beacon is redundant on assault, as your ether getting picked up by your squad in the action, having the beacon destroyed because of some form of, explosive/anti-gadget tech and or most commonly and importantly getting revived by a support player. The beacon during the flow of mid to short range combat is literally useless, as there are significantly better options to dying, hoping the beacon lasts for you to respawn, then hoping when you respawn your not going to get camped by a stray grenade, or someone lurking, just out of sight of the spawn camera. I mean if the beacon acted like a better motion detector and showed the exact location of players around the beacon, to those spawning it would fix the camping issue, but not the fact revives in that domain of combat make the beacon useless.
As for "the fear of campers" all the current system does is ensure there are 2-3 players camping instead of 1. Instead of 1 player and the beacon, you get a squad instead, who are significantly harder to remove from camping spots. From experience, 1 sniper on the top of a building you cant and or can't easily reach is obnoxious, 2 however is oppressive because the other will usually kill you and 3 is a nightmare because you are not winning that fight. Campers are going to camp, its just a question of how many. And Ironically enough because the recon drone is a thing, (it can destroy gadgets) the respawn beacon is no where near as obnoxious as it used to be.
Last time I checked nether, BRADLY or to be more specific IFV were acronyms or synonyms for TRANSPORT. Yet last time I check they act as transports, that when nessieary can easily fight tanks. I mean the IFV literally has optional Ap rounds. Now I am not saying the Transport Heli needs Ap rounds however if you played Battlefront 2 you know how quickly any aircraft will melt, when half the lobby decides to just quickly point and shoot at a flying target, that it not bullet proof. Requesting the Transport Heli have grater survivability and or lethality, considering its current state is not a big ask.
