BF6 Make or break. Feedback.

First of all. BF6 is really a fun game, but mediocre as a Battlefield formula. The movement and gunplay are the most advanced and immersive in the whole history of the franchise. Still, movement and gunplay are arcade-ish, but it is a step forward. A ton of weapons and gadgets indeed. Destruction stands on a high level as well, and multiple elements of the same object might be cracked, where they need to be.

The other elements drag the face on the ground, unfortunately. I have no idea who is in charge of quality control, who pulls the strings. Clearly, that person never played a first-person shooter in their lifetime.

BATTLEROYALE

I am a huge fan of Battlefield's core functions and pillars, but those fundamentals diminished for no reason other than supposedly making BF more accessible to a wider audience. I truly love BR as well, but it is not finished.

BATTLEROYALE has NO SOLOS, NO TRIOS, NO Proximity VoIP chat. 🤫 The most necessary core functions for Battleroyale to be remotely fun are not present for no reason. Instead, yes, instead we do receive Tanks and IFVs in Battleroyale that are obviously overpowered in any shape or form. No matter how much nerf such vehicles are going to get, the tank may get a cheese "1-shot 4 kills" with a main gun. The zone is shrinking while putting pressure on other teams. Why does the Blackhawk have a minigun by default? Players should use their main guns, not cheese-rotating miniguns, which are nerfed anyway and overheat quickly. Remove heavy vehicles (Tank+IFV) from Battleroyale, or replace them with a truck. Remove the minigun from Blackhawk, and replace it with a player seat only. Make it a transport chopper only. There is no need for overpowered vehicles in Battleroyale, because paper, rock, scissors does not exist as a mechanic in Battleroyale. You have no other vehicles to pray on each other, no aerial vehicles; the map is shaped differently. Equipment scales differently, battlepicks in most instances. Players must sabotage tanks/IFVs. Miniguns in Blackhawk overheat very fast, and ammo is scarce in BR. This plays like craps and leaves a bad impression when it comes to the paid version of the multiplayer.

Pure Battleroyale experience plizzz.

MULTIPLAYER MAPS

Ohh gosh, I feel like the general overreaction is real when it comes to map design. Maps are mostly infantry-centric. I would count maps as Infantry maps with ground vehicles. Players need more aerial maps, for example, Mirak, Firestorm, which are still not the best maps for all-out warfare. C-tier maps in BF6. What is good about Mirak - a shootout in central buildings. Firestorms, mountain ranges and tall infrastructure that effectively cut off the vision, especially to the airfields. Bring back more vehicular maps.

Siege of Cairo and Iberian Offensive feel like B-tier maps, but actually, I enjoy them. S-tier and A-tier maps do not exist in BF6. I would love to see them upgraded in the next titles.

The worst is Blackwell Fields in Conquest and Escalation 🤫. Practically nothing blocks the vision of the airstrips. Airstrips are so close, 50 metres away from getting locked on. Planes can barely get off the ground, then have to navigate outside the combat zone. Wherever infantry moves, players find themselves outside the combat zone. A quick fix would be to place choppers/aircraft further away from the centre of the map by an additional 150m, then enlarge the combat zone by 5%. One flag could be placed further away from the oil fields. E-tier map, which I enjoy, but aerial combat needs to be addressed. I enjoy the map as an Infantryman, but aerial combat is really completely broken.

New Sobek City is another awful entry. Rooftops cannot be cleared by the helicopters due to the size of the aerial combat. E-tier map, which I enjoy from time to time, but aerial combat needs to be addressed.

Saint Quarter is the map that I truly enjoy; it happens to be a bit too cramped even by my own standards. The more I play on that map, the more I like it. Too many players are camping at the centre, and must be cleared more often. C-tier map for sure.

Liberation Peak is the map I thought I would enjoy. The map is too narrow to handle aerial gameplay. Has too many rooftops and rocks that can be peered from. D-tier map for sure.

Empire State has too many windows that can be peeked from/at one flagpoint. I think the winter version should stay permanently for visual clarity. D-tier map in my view.

Eastwood has a ridiculous ceiling flight cap. This map cannot handle even helicopter gameplay. The central part is fun on Domination or Escalation. The rooftop is not as annoying as I could have anticipated. The map could use a bit more scale in the golf course area. C-tier because of small issues.

Manhattan Bridge is fine for me, but there might be too many corners to get shot from.

GAME MODES

Lack of permanent Hardcore Mode.

Conquest - not enough modifiers. No fast vehicle spawn/slow vehicle spawn. No option to have Infantry Only Conquest on any of the maps in rotation. Ticketwise, most of the time insufficient to fully immerse yourself. Not enough transport vehicles. Player movement has been slowed down, and maps have shrunk. I would rather keep the original Firestorm and add a few more transport trucks, motorcycles, or whatever.

Escalation - Always some action going on. More dynamic version of Conquest.

Breakthrough - completely broken to my taste. I cannot explain it, but in BF6, you had to make an effort to get closer to the points. Right now, a few more steps to the flag to cap it. Ahh, there are no flags, just sprayed ground for immersion 😘

Rush - for me, formally dead. Players are too close to MCOMS. Practically, there is no situation to make a sophisticated push, skillfully defend. Outflanking is not possible, running straight head-on into gun barrels. Proper meat-grinder from the first minute.

King of the Hill - meatgrinder with an objective. I like it more than Deathmatch.

Domination - Not as good as in BF3 for sure.

Squad Deathmatch & Deathmatch - fun as always.

PROGRESSION SYSTEM

Other players must be frustrated due to the amount of time spent trying to unlock anything. The progression system is dedicated to an ESL pro-league player rather than an average Joe with a ball mouse spinning on a wooden desk. I have a hard time unlocking stuff. What about others with 3x lower kills and k/d around 1... Challenges are not fun with the number of shots to be made. BF3 had better challenges to unlock weapons. Weapons could have been unlocked up to lvl 200 in my opinion.

Seasonal content is too much of a grind. I feel exhausted doing Battleroyale challenges, while I would like to play and focus mostly on core BF, or vice versa.

LOST CHANCES

REDSEC should have been launched as a separate thing. Solos, Duos, Trios, Quads, Vehicular Quads. Proximity VoIP.

Devs should have released 8 maps at launch, then 1 month later, another 4 to keep players excited.

Winter Event reintroduced the same number of bugs from the BETA build. Teleportation through the buses and other objects. Missing visual plate indicator over nickname. Concussion grenades instead of smoke grenades with Assault Class. Changing to a grenade launcher shows a different weapon in the bottom-left corner. 50 mag round in M60 while playing as Assault plus shotgun combo???  Opening the parachute takes forever. Missing weapon animation and many other glitched animations. Sluggish hit registration. Players access weird places all over the map again. The camera freezes after editing the weapon setup. Please press "Y" button to unfreeze. IAR, NVO, and SG553 are killing machines back again.

Basically, one of the early playable builds is back with the so-called new patch. Do you even bother testing and then releasing a broken season? Would you mind spending 60 minutes to launch the build before uploading it?

Permanent servers are not available anymore. I cannot rent a server, name it, set modifiers, spin it constantly into eternity. I cannot find it through the browser. I cannot spin my private server.

4 Squad Lobby is limited to only 4 players. Why can't we join in a 4+4 format at least for Conquest or Escalation? Where is the so-called limitation? Why will the game not stack us up against another 4+4 squad then?

Platoons' page is missing. I cannot add players to a platoon or set our clan tag.

I am seriously banging my head against the desk. What is going on with EarlyAccess/Battlefailed Studios? So much wasted potential. Battlefield is about all-out warfare, thriving platoons. Do not tell me everything is fine with the franchise.
