BF6 Redsec Battle Royale Gameplay Feedback After 470 Hours

After around 470 hours of playing Battlefield 6, mainly BF6 Redsec Battle Royale, I’ve come to the conclusion that the Battle Royale mode need improvements. There are still several core issues that significantly affect gameplay quality and team coordination.

Below are the main shortcomings I’ve experienced:

Scout Drone Marking Visibility

When a Scout marks enemy locations using a drone, the marks do not appear clearly on the screen. Players must open the map to see the marked area.
This is very impractical during fast-paced engagements. Marks should be visible directly in the player’s view, not only on the map.

Knockdown Teammate Indicators

When a teammate is knocked down more than ~50 meters away, the knockdown indicator:

  • Does not appear on the map
  • Does not appear on the HUD
  • The overhead icon disappears even when the camera is pointed directly at the downed teammate

This makes fast revives nearly impossible because teammates cannot locate the downed player accurately.

Ammo Economy Imbalance in Battle Royale Gunfights

Gunfights in Battle Royale frequently occur during both offense and defense situations. If the squad:

Has no Support class, or
Fails to obtain a supply crate from an airdrop

then ammo becomes a serious issue, especially for Assault Rifles.

Ammo distribution comparison:

  • Recon: Sniper ammo (10 rounds per class box) is sufficient for engagements
  • Support: LMG ammo (100 rounds per class box) is more than adequate
  • Engineer: Already has handgun ammo and gains additional ammo from class boxes, which is sufficient
  • Assault: Only receives 40 AR rounds per class box, which is not enough for sustained gunfights

To reach maximum ammo, Assault players must open significantly more loot boxes compared to other classes. In addition, AR ammo is rarely found in standard loot boxes, making the issue worse.

Inconsistent Bullet Penetration on Fences

When shooting through fences:

  • Our bullets often do not penetrate
Meanwhile, enemies at certain distances can destroy the fence and their bullets penetrate and hit us
  • This inconsistency creates unfair and confusing combat outcomes.

Invisible Collision on Small Trees

At times, bullets do not penetrate small roadside trees, behaving like an invisible wall. This feels unnatural and breaks immersion, especially in open-area firefights.

Sniper Hit Registration Issues Through Windows

There are situations where:

  • The target is stationary
  • Range finder is used correctly
  • Aim is perfectly aligned

Yet the sniper bullet disappears or does not register a hit, especially when shooting through windows. This makes long-range engagements unreliable.

In my opinion, these issues highlight that BF6 Redsec Battle Royale still needs significant improvements

I hope this feedback can help improve the overall Battle Royale experience. If other players have similar experiences or additional feedback, feel free to share.

I just posted about penetration, it sux when players kill you through a wall, but for me, walls cannot be penetrated. What's the secret? Do they have tools to identify 'soft walls' because I'm not shooting at walls. Some players are shooting at walls, how do they know?

normaly in BF6 in loadout have penetration ammo and we can use it in loadout when play multiplayer our gauntlet mode, but in BF6 Redsec battle royale we dont know what current gun in world using loadout ammo penetration, this ammo can broke fence

but in game we got bug where ammo cant past through fence or wood windows when we too close

  • Honestly I'm more concerned about them balancing the Recon class for battle royale. The BR needs less auto spotting and more manual spotting using your own eyes. Even the sniper rifles have a built in target detector now, when at least in BF4 it took up an attachment slot.

The recon drone is way too strong in terms of it capabilities. It can drop a bomb on enemies, self destruct, can be used in every fight, and when you want to enter a new part of the map can clear/spot entire area's. Not to mention it's even worse when the enemy team has more than one player playing the recon class, which means they can just alternate drone usage or combo them together.

The motion sensor can lock down entire buildings, and again with multiple recon players they can just alternate usage or drop multiple sensors to expand player "spotting" coverage.

When using a sniper rifle "off-class" it results in weapon sway, but a recon player using a "off-class" weapon does not result in weapon sway. They can combo a sniper/smg or sniper/lmg and because they have no penalty they're basically good at every range (close/med/long).

    Other Notes:

    • Thermal scopes should not be in the BR. (self-explanatory).
    • Move the Throwable Proximity Detector to the gadget slot instead of the grenade slot.
