BF6 Season 2: Rooftops & Ladders

Rooftops and ladder usage have been negated altogether with an out-of-bounds alert on Breakthrough maps, etc. The ladder was already a very limited gadget, and most maps don't make much use of it. Small maps could be expanded by expanding vertical space and create a more dynamic battle environment by allowing players to use all of the terrain that is there and get to special vantage points that can create fatal funnels, etc.

From military experience, snipers naturally are going to want to have spaces where they have cover, concealment, and can shoot down on the target. I understand that some players don't like these sniper nests but that is why BF6 should have fully destructible buildings like in BF4. If there is a sniper nest, then bring the whole building down with some C4 or one can play as a counter-sniper.

I am bothered that war is not two-dimensional but that seems to be where this season is going given the patching out of the ladder usage points and the higher perches for snipers. It is also a bummer that you don't have signature events in the maps like launching the rocket on the Orbital map in BF2042. In the future, I hope that they allow buildings to be fully destroyed instead of certain segments which is both unrealistic and limits tactical options.

That's a weak sentiment. I rarely went on the rooftops in BT but did a few times. There's no real advantage in the close quarters of BT. There was never a time the opposing team got on a roof that I didn't change to recon and clear it from the ground. You're just not even an average player if you're complaining. They need to stop catering to whiners and just make them play the game. The ladder is basically useless now.  What's the point of having a gadget you can't strategically use?

  • Amazing vantage points which one of the two teams may not be able to have access to, are abysmal map design and they did well by removing them from play in BT.

These roofs are balanced around the presence of aircraft being able to pound everyone up there into a well done meat paste. Without these aircraft in BT, the people up there are having a massive advantage over the other team, at least as far as getting more kills is concerned.

Confused company doesn't know what it is doing. It doesn't have its own identity or sense of balance any more, throws options at the wall, and waits for public outcry to cause it to repeatledly change its stance in one direction or another. Every few weeks is some new gimick, change, or OP way to play, and then suddenly a massive change in some other direction.

Some people just enjoy chaos, I guess.
