Big maps or game dies. Where are they?

I was more excited for Battlefield 6 than any other game in a 5 year window. It looked like Battlefield 4, it had a great feel to it, Gunplay was great, what we have forgotten here is that battlefield players like real maps that you can have massive play on, remember Heavy metal? Remember Outbreak?Nelson Bay? Port Valdez? What about Oasis? Paracel storm, Wake island.... like i can go on. but now you give us COD maps and no real terrain to play with. The game is great but i have nothing to play it in. Without real maps this game is going to flounder. This is not MY opinion as much as it is every single battlefield player i have spoken with. I want to play and love this game but every time i load into a game i load into a shoebox, Shoebox is great to have as an option, Options are great, much like the option to play huge maps. Thanks.

    It’s clear they are already working on a new Battlefield title, and BF 6 is being left with a skeleton crew. It will likely be another mismanaged title, just like BF V and 2042—though in 2042's case, the core gameplay itself was bad, not just the mismanagement. Look at how slowly bugs are fixed; when they patch one, they add ten more. There were game-breaking bugs that took two months to fix.

    For hell's sake, give proper mapping tools to the community! Within a week, you’d see all the old BF maps back in the game, along with plenty of maps from other titles.

    As I’ve stated before, they already have several old maps on this engine. I don’t see the problem with porting them over from 2042 Portal to this game, but oh well.

    Its insane to me, they could literally release a DLC of nothing but old maps like the ones i listed with maybe 1 new map, people would have an absolute meltdown if they released a pack of the older epic maps. can you imagine what paracel would look like now? Man that would be a beauty, or panama canal? How AWESSOME would laguna presa be? i mean they have some of the best most epic maps of all time and they are giving us... like what Army Men, Sarg's Heros maps? Don't get me wrong i love me some Sarge's Heros but uh. that was on N64. Lets scale this up a little. its crazy that they don't even have to design all new maps , just re create them with all new abilities. I don't get it...

  • The sad truth is that they will probably be adding one or two normal (big) sized maps, and the rest will the small tidbits of content as the roadmap shows. 

    "One new gun, one new motorbike, one new temporary mode in a small setting" etc. 

    And that'll be it. It's definitely a skeleton crew going forward until the next release for sure. And the layoffs add to the strength of this rumour. A real shame. 

  • Gun play actually isn't that great. The hit boxes don't seem to be that accurate and damage pretty low especially when a bolt action sniper point blank range in the chest doesn't Kill a guy, actually seem to feel better in 2042 and they had burst fire and fill automatic pistols which they took out of the game but Delta force and Cod BO still have. Another problem is changing barrel length doesn't make the guns, damage, accuracy, range change when in real life it would. Now a game that had solid feel, damage and hit boxes and larger weapon set is cal of duty black ops 6 or 7.. Another game that has even better hit damage and hit boxes is delta force black hawk down, even had larger variety of guns, and I think was the first to  by default automatic hold breath when you zoom in and had no limit on addons to guns, just some addons that may not be compatible and well just affect your ads speed, stability etc. Which you can actually offset the amount of penalty you want by calibration of the sight, stock barel length which you see extends out, these are great ideas and you only see and come yo with great ideas or know which game feels more solid when you play a variety of these shooters and can get a good baseline of how it should be and damage and map designs should be like I do, but sadly the devs don't have the time to play other similar games and the beta testers are very narrow minded to the different military gangs they play. The bolt action sniper to the chest from a certain distance is death like in real life and doesn't have to be a head shot (because a bolt action sniper rounds are manually loaded and it losses no kinetic energy from the explosive gas in the barrel to trigger the automatic loading of the next bullet like the semi automatic sniper) unless the distance is very great and the bolt action is not that powerful. So that's the order of gun solid feel and accurate damage baseline. Also the grenade damage, radius, duration for flash and other(which flash blinds you even if you turn away like it would in real life) and the flash light which doesn't seem to blind anyone in this game but actually works great in Delta force by having it on and pressing 2 buttons which activates a strobe effect which is recharged for next use street your next kill and it blind the he'll out of you in Delta force BHD. realistic damage, feel, hit box accuracy and grenade damage, effect, blast raid realism, and customizing  from best to least order is as follows;

    1. Delta force black hawk down
    2. Call of duty black ops
    3. Battlefield 6

    When I played those crappy customised maps which in not sure is because of the creators skills or because you can only use the assets that are in the tool they give you too create the custom maps, I started getting amazing ideas of how to update  the 2042 maps, specifically the one with the sky scraper where the first thing I tried was to see if the roof would work in the original game so I could get a great sniper location on the roof and was surprised it did work, that was a great unobstructed view  for the sniper to complete hes greater then 125 metre head shot challenge. But I thought to myself, how about we add extra ways of gaining across to the building just incase they have the elevator and stairs covered by a machine gunner, how about we add grapple ropes you can go up from the floor or down from the roof, even put a window cleaner crane in and when you get to certain floors as you grapple down, you can activate a explosive device on the window to break it and gain access that way away from the waiting machine gunner and their trap, also have the main large buildings on the map connected underneath to give you some cover from snipers and  some cover against turrents planted on the roofs to keep the intruders and helicopters away, but the tunnel system only provides some cover, not total cover from point a to point b, and also have office workers you can choose to save and activate to follow you so you can get them to safety and use the tunnel system to get then to a truck waiting as a optional bonus mission that rewards you some item, great, echo, assassin change out and refill, either one of those types of rewards after completing it and the amount you save increases the reward value or amount  if its possible, that's the map I would design by updating the old BF 2042 sky scraper map.

    They also should give recon guy grapple hook so you can get to those inaccessible sniper perch places on the maps they made since assault guy gets ladder and unless hes your mate, good luck trying to get people to help these days in team based games. And the recon guy did have a grapple hook for that purpose on the early BF games.A nd another thing I noticed when I was using the planes and trying to bomb tanks or men for that matter i with the free fall bombs, they were pitiful and **bleep** weak which they shouldn't be because they are large bombs destined to destroy shrug in a large radius and if it lands near a tank, that tank is dead, if it lands several metres away from infantry, they are dead. Now if it was a self laser guided bombs I could understand 2 shots on a tank because it would hit precisely as you drop it when the circle pases over the target when you release, but they are currently useless and there is one reason this is the case and one or 2 free buttons which could have been given a function to allow you to hit targets with bombs accurately and that's is the ability to select your ground target so it makes it easier to see them on approach and line up your target for the drop as is difficult to see those fast speeds even at close to stall speeds. But these days developers don't think before they implement an idea and that's cuz they don't test their own game and leave it to beta testers who aren't the smartest or creative of people to spot this  problem and suggest the solution I just mentioned. If you can't select the target, then the bombs damage and radius of damage should have been increases the to five fold to ensure if the bomb land next to the tank or near a soldier or group of them, they would be dead at least 2 for the tank .
